The classic manicure-pedicure is ninety minutes of concentrated care for the two hardest-working parts of your body. Hands and feet get the full sequence: warm soak, exfoliating scrub, cuticle work, nail shaping, a genuinely good hand/foot-and-calf massage, and polish in your shade — or a clean buffed finish if you'd rather.
At home it becomes what it should be: you in your own chair, your own music or show, no parade of strangers' feet in neighbouring basins. The beautician brings everything, including a foot soak basin and single-use files and buffers.
What to expect
You'll want a comfortable chair and somewhere the beautician can place the soak basin. Feet go first — soak, scrub (heels get honest attention), cuticles, shaping, massage — then hands through the same sequence. Polish at the end, with quick-dry topcoat so you're not immobilised. The massage portions are longer than salon-standard; that's deliberate.
Frequently asked questions
Do you bring polish colours or should I use mine?
Both work. The beautician carries a core range of shades; if you have a specific colour you love, keep it handy and we'll use yours.
How long does polish need to dry?
With the quick-dry topcoat, you're safe for careful tasks in 15 minutes and everything in an hour. Book gel polish as a special request if you want zero dry time and longer wear.
My heels are very cracked — will one session fix them?
One session improves them noticeably; badly cracked heels usually need two or three sessions a few weeks apart plus nightly moisturising. The beautician will be honest about what one visit can do.
Is it safe for diabetics?
With care, usually yes — gentle tools, no aggressive cutting, lukewarm water. Tell us at booking, and check with your doctor if you have neuropathy.
Can two of us get it together?
Yes — book two slots or note it as a request and we'll send one beautician for sequential sessions or two for parallel.
